In September of 2017, a 14-year-old little girl named Madeline had the idea to start a website to sell children’s clothing and accessories. She had lost her mother in 2014 and was finally getting back to smiling and enjoying life again. After the death of her mom she was adopted by her maternal grandparents. As plans were being made to go forward with Skooboo, things came to a halt once again. In January of 2018 her adoptive mom/grandmother lost her battle with cancer and passed away. Madeline’s suffering and loss is more than any child should ever have to endure, but with the love and support of her adoptive dad/grandfather Maddie has grown into a beautiful young woman with her whole life with all of its adventures ahead of her. Now for the good news. Skooboo is up and running but with so much more than just children’s clothing. We’re not trying to play on your sympathy here, just thought we’d give you a little history of how Skooboo came to be.
